Price & availability: About $37 to $42 on Amazon depending on color; the orange version was $36.99, sold by Amazon, on September 26, 2026.

Why consider it

  • Secura lists a 100% stainless steel interior, including the pot, lid, spout and rim, and says no plastic is in contact with hot water.
  • Secura's Amazon listing says the water level markings are inside the kettle.
  • A 1.7-liter, 1500-watt kettle with a Strix control, auto shut-off and boil-dry protection, and no temperature settings.
  • Secura lists a two-year warranty for this model.

Practical tradeoffs

  • The cool-touch outer shell is BPA-free plastic; Secura says no plastic touches the hot water.
  • Secura does not list a material for any lid seal.
  • The instructions set a minimum of 0.5 liters and a maximum of 1.7 liters per boil.
  • The instructions suggest purified water to limit mineral buildup; with hard tap water, expect scale on the steel interior.
  • Materials are manufacturer-declared; we found no certification or independent materials test.

Our assessment

This is a manufacturer-document review, not a kettle test. Secura’s product page and instructions say no plastic touches the hot water: the pot, lid, spout and rim are stainless steel, and the fill marks are inside the kettle. The plastic sits on the outside, as a cool-touch shell.

Two gaps remain. Secura does not say what any lid seal is made of, and we found no test of this kettle for particle release. It suits the boil, settle and pour routine in our boiling-water guide. If the kettle you own works and isn’t plastic, keeping it is a sensible choice.
