WHY IT'S A YEP

  • Sealed bagged system: what goes in stays in — emptying a bagless canister is a personal dust storm
  • Add the HEPA AirClean filter and exhaust air leaves cleaner than it entered
  • Mieles routinely run 15–20 years; the cost-per-year embarrasses the disposable-vacuum cycle

WHERE IT'S IMPERFECT

  • Bags forever (~$20/year) — that IS the feature, but it's a recurring cost
  • HEPA filter is sold separately on this model — budget for it, it's the point
  • The vacuum body is plastic; we care about what it captures, not what it's cased in

Our take

The counterintuitive entry: a partly-plastic machine in the swap files. It earns the slot because dust is the exposure — your closet, carpet, and couch shed synthetic fibers continuously, and a cheap bagless vacuum vents the finest fraction right back into the room (then douses you again at the trash can). Sealed bag + HEPA exhaust turns vacuuming from particle redistribution into particle removal. Pair with wet-dusting and shoes-off and the whole-house air tier is handled.
